It’s Been A Pleasure, 2011

Well, hello. It’s nice to be back! So, 2011 It’s Ova!

I’ve shared my world with many great friends and had an ever-changing life! Such, such were the joys… Fortunately, I have captured some moments and beauty to share. This is a collection of favorite photos from 2011.

And remember: make every great moment last, move, have fun, love, change the world or al least your world, reverse the curse. Certainement une bonne résolution à ajouter à sa liste 2012.

WISHLIST B-Day 2011

Finally, December 8 is coming. And that whole day is my B-Day!! Yay! Gifts and cupcakes with cream cheese frosting & purple balloons! So, during the year I keep track of the things I want (and I need, must have or absolutely ADORE). Here’s my wishlist:
The Steve Buscemi Dress from Black Milk is so disturbing in so many ways. I’m not entirely sure why appears like ‘NOT FOUND‘, but… Yeah, gotta wear a strange piece of couture. How can I resist those sad puppy eyes?

The Amazon panther-print swimsuit from We Are Handsome is a seriously fashion-forward style. Sexy dramatic panther-print swimsuit with a contemporary low-back cut. This piece can be worn as an addition to any outfit. AMAZING!! My absolutely favorite We Are Handsome’s Vintage 2011 pieces are available HERE.

I NEED to have a Cleo Ferin Mercury‘s childlike ‘Animal Friendly’ Long Padded Animal Scarf or an’Hibernate With Me’ collar around my neck ASAP. These super fun padded silk scarves come in three varieties: Fox, Sausage Dog, or the Cat. Can’t decide which one is my fav yet.

*The* glitter-coated booties: my Miu Miu obsession
Christopher Kane’s plastic fluid-filled clutch bag

Marc by Marc Jacobs‘ Snakes on a Frame crossbody bag. So lovely! At first I thought it was a case for sunglasses: it is not. It’s a cute little. I think it’s kinda more for summer, which is great cause I’m always chasing that season all over the globe, so I would take it to the beach with me. And I love the color, of course. Available in ShopBop

Emporio Armani‘s 30th Anniversary Sunglasses Collection is just fabulous. Pure colorful fashion. I always go for the oversize rounded frames. These ultra-flat spectacular purple shades are a MUST.

Moxi Lolly Roller Skates from UO. Just because I simply love roller skating. And these in teal are a complete dream: like the high heels of the skating world! The wheels are Oh-So-Cute and the look is so unique (…and they are also very expensive, I know). I’ve seen the leopard print ones, but those are made of vinyl. Leather molds to the shape of the feet over time and it’s also more durable than vinyl. That’s why I definitely prefer the Lollys.

Now let me remind you that long after one has forgotten what a woman wore, the memory of her perfume lingers. So, if I needed another reason to buy a new fragrance; Chanel came to help with Chance Eau Tendre. It’s particularly suited to summer: it has a sweet and tender, like the flower of jasmine, mitigated by the quince, grapefruit and spicy made from heavy white musk. The bottle is pink. A delicate fragrance for my collection.
Forbidden Euphoria by Calvin Klein. A new flanker to the original Euphoria. It’s a fresh, sexy version with notes of jasmine and tiger orchid. Mmm…

Makeup Your Mind: Express Yourself. A book by Francois Nars. I had been looking for a real nice makeup book for a while, and I’ve done my research. Being a fan of Nars, I decided to go and take a look at it. This book was a must have. It has before and after pictures, and plastic sheets over the after pictures indicating where and how the makeup was applied. Nars explains everything from how the makeup should be applied, to how to clean the brushes when your done. Spiral bound, complete in a nifty plastic book slip, it’s appealing to the eye. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT

Paris vs New York illustrations book. A one on one between two cities whose culture is a rich as it is fascinating, featuring lovely illustrations. All year long Vahram Muratyan has cleverly compared the city of lights with the big apple on his blog, from there was born a superb book illustrated with totally new visuals.

OTHER FUNNY STUFF:

The Svintus plug pig is a “classic” Piggy Power Strip from Art Lebedev. Too Cute/Creepy to Resist!

The Ab Tronic X2, ”the best dual action ab belt”. This electronic abdominal belt is supposed to be a step above the rest of the ab belts on the market. It generates ‘active muscle contractions’ (AKA: it does all the work for you). I just tried it and loved it! I don’t know about the ‘toning’ thing, but I’ve tried it and it feels asstastic! Loooooooove the massage. Gotta have.

Sesame Street Cookie Monster Plush. He looooooooooves to munch on cookies! I promise I’ll bake him delicious chocolate chips cookies, tickle him to make him giggle and squirm.

The Umbra Aquala Bathtub Caddy. Just very cool stuff -A bit expensive – but worth it: a book, a glass of wine, candles, music… just leave your stuff on the tray and relax. Ahhhh now this is the life. I also found it HERE.

Thanx 4 reading!! XoXo

Chloë

Self Service #26 Spring/Summer 2007 | Chloë Sevigny by Mario Sorrenti

Chloë Sevigny by Pavel Havlicek | Harper’s Bazaar Russia April 2010

Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, photographer Pavel Havlicek captures Chloë in a fashion that is at times soft and pure or quite the contrary. Regardless of Chloë’s demeanor, the spread charms from beginning to end.

Chloe Sevigny as Terry Richardson [Terry Richardson Making Out With Himself]

Chloe Sevigny’s cover of ‘transversal style’ mag Candy mag’s fall/winter 2012 issue.

The “first transversal style magazine” for their third issue has put their first woman on the cover. It’s Chloe Sevingy as Terry Richardson, and it’s kind of brilliant.

The cover caused a mini stir as Sevigny was dressed as Terry Richardson (and photographed by Richardson). Richardson just posted his own behind-the-scenes video of the shoot on his blog. Chloe Sevigny, dressed as Terry Richardson, making out with identically dressed real Terry Richardson.

Thats an amazing photograph. Really beautiful. And good marketing strategy, releasing only 1,000 copies. Good job Candy! She’s got the pose, the clothes, everything is just right and a little creepy. As it should be.
